What is Pre-Diabetes?

Pre-Diabetes is characterized by higher than normal blood sugar levels, but not high enough to be called as diabetes. These people are at a greater risk of developing Type 2 diabetes in later course of life.
Studies show that many a millions of world’s population have pre-diabetes. In most of the cases they develop Type II Diabetes within 10 years after diagnosis of pre-diabetes. Apart from that they have a higher chance of developing heart disease or stroke.
The occurrence of Type 2 Diabetes can be delayed or prevented by being physically fit through exercises and controlling the diet.
