Generally gestational diabetes does not develop any symptoms though rarely the following may appear in the pregnant woman.
Polyuria - Frequent urination
Polydipsia - Increased Thirst
Polyphagia - Increased Appetite
Weight loss in spite of increased appetite
Fatigue
Nausea and vomiting
Frequent infections including those of the bladder, vagina, and skin

Type II diabetes is characterized by following symptoms.
Polyuria - Frequent urination
Polydipsia - Increased Thirst
Polyphagia - Increased Appetite
The above symptoms develop very slowly in Type 2 Diabetes. In some cases these symptoms may be subtle or absent. Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus if poorly controlled may experience :
Weight Loss despite normal or increased eating
